We offer bulbs from two companies, one of the biggest in England and one of the biggest in Holland. Taylors Bulbs and WPC Prins have been dealing with us for several decades and supply trusted, quality bulbs which we are able to pass on to our customers at very reasonable prices.
Most of the bulbs are pre-packed in various quantities, depending on the variety. We do stock limited supplies of bulk bags ideal for landscapers or people with large gardens and we also stock certain loose varieties like hyacinths and begonias. Our selection covers basic and more acquired tastes with something for everyone.
Three of the big names in seed production provide us with an amazing selection of seed varieties. Thompson and Morgan, Mr Fothergills and Franchi are well respected in the world of horticulture and by stocking a selection from each; we can provide you with excellent choice all year. The range of course includes flowering plants and vegetables with a few exotics thrown in for good measure.
Our Scottish grown seed potatoes take us by surprise every year as they increase in popularity. Not many garden centres stock the same quantity of varieties this year totaling over 60.
Unfortunately we cannot offer you a ‘variety by variety’ availability list for bulbs, seeds or seed potatoes. The varieties chosen by us, or indeed available to us, may be subject to change from season to season. The best way to find out what we have in stock is to come and have a look but failing that you could always ask over the phone or send an e-mail.
Garden retail like it used to be.
Here at Clockhouse Nursery we pride ourselves in providing reasonably priced plants & the products you need to grow them effectively.
That is all.
So, no need to wade through the tide of unnecessary paraphernalia that you will find in most modern garden centres.
No need to worry about parking either as we have over 150 spaces available.
Not many Garden Centres can boast over ninety years of history, and yes, we have seen many changes over that period. Indeed change will continue as we strive always to supply the best in plants and facilities. One thing, however, will never change:
The core philosophy first introduced by Archibald John Mills way back in 1928 remains - the philosophy that built the company’s reputation, sustains it now, and will guide it in the future:
The best way to keep gardeners happy is to offer them plants of the highest quality, sold at reasonable prices.Read more
