We have always been very proud of our “Wall of Seeds”. It offers an impressive facade of colourful packets, tempting people to have a go at growing from seed. This used to be located in our main shop building but since our renovation in 2017 we decided to move the seed selection into number 1 greenhouse. We felt that this tied in better with the bulbs & seed potatoes which have always been sold from this house apart from grass seed which retains its place main shop building.
We offer a MASSIVE selection all year from some of the most renowned purveyors in the country. Whether it be grass seed, flowers or vegetables that you are interested in, you will not fail to be impressed. Their are organic selections as well as a range that has the approval from a vegan society. Also, for those of you who would like to cut down on packaging & wastage in general, we can now offer a much wider range of loose seeds sold by weight. Our “Loose Seed Deli” counter is now in operation.
Be you a seasoned allotment grower, a pround lawn tender or a back garden dabbler, there is something here for you… plus everything you may need to grow the seeds that you buy. Compost, seed trays, pots, propagators etc they are all here.

Not many Garden Centres can boast over ninety years of history, and yes, we have seen many changes over that period. Indeed change will continue as we strive always to supply the best in plants and facilities. One thing, however, will never change:
The core philosophy first introduced by Archibald John Mills way back in 1928 remains - the philosophy that built the company’s reputation, sustains it now, and will guide it in the future:
The best way to keep gardeners happy is to offer them plants of the highest quality, sold at reasonable prices.Read more
